Embedded and Real-time Systems Software/Hardware Engineer with an Emphasis on FPGA Programming (Albuquerque, NM)

Description

Develop hardware and software systems for real-time optical acquisition, tracking, and beam control systems. Participate in a development team making contributions to the hardware and software design and implementation of systems that employ state-of-the-art high-speed real-time hardware and software processing.

Qualifications

Minimum: BS or MS in computer, software, or electrical engineering field or equivalent experience. Strong software and/or hardware engineering background. Desired: Experience with real-time embedded systems working with optical sensors and control equipment. Experience with beam control, acquisition, tracking, and pointing hardware and software. Experience with real-time operating systems, FPGA, and GPU programming. Experience with National Instruments, Zedboard, and Xilinx FPGA equipment equipment.

Opto-Mechanical Engineer (Albuquerque, NM)

Description

Design, analyze, develop, integrate, and test complex optical optical systems that include closed-loop control for beam projection and optical sensing applications. Analyze optical layout and prescription for proper imaging and beam quality metrics. Layout and specify mechanical interfaces to provide robust mounting interfaces with tight tolerances and high reliability and stability.

Qualifications

Minimum: BS or MS in optical or mechanical engineering field or equivalent experience. Strong optical analysis with firm understanding of precision mechanical requirements. Desired: Experience with optical analysis and design in ZEMAX and Solidworks.

Electro-Optical Engineer with an Emphasis in IR Sensors (Albuquerque, NM & Dayton, OH)

Description

Design, analyze, develop, integrate, and test optical sensor systems for precision data acquisition and closed-loop optical control. Analyze optical layout and prescription for proper imaging and beam quality metrics. Perform radiometric analysis for optical sensing systems including atmospheric degradation phenomena.

Qualifications

Minimum: BS or MS in electrical or optical engineering field or equivalent experience. Strong radiometric analysis capabilities. Experience with modern camera systems operating in the NIR through MWIR bands. Desired: Experience with high-speed imaging systems. Understanding of the requirements for the implementation of acquisition and tracking algorithms. Experience with optical analysis and design in ZEMAX and Solidworks.

Computer/Electrical Engineer (Albuquerque, NM)

Description

Design, analyze, develop, integrate, and test computer and electronic sensing and control equipment. Perform PCB board layout, perform board analysis, and develop board drawings for manufacture. Assemble and test sensing and control equipment.

Qualifications

Minimum: BS or MS in computer or electrical engineering field or equivalent experience. Experience with interfacing with sensing and control peripheral equipment. Desired: Strong computer programming skills.

Modeling and Simulation Analyst (Albuquerque, NM & Dayton, OH)

Description

Assist in the investigation of various physical and optical phenomena involved in the development of acquisition, tracking, and pointing and beam control technologies. Develop and implement algorithms for the analysis of data and the execution of beam control functions.

Apply advanced simulation technologies, WaveTrain and SHaRE, to analyze optical propagation and adaptive optics systems. Assist customers in the application of WaveTrain and SHaRE. Develop, maintain, and upgrade scientific calculation and visualization software. Analyze data from simulation and various types of scientific experiments.

Qualifications

Minimum: BS or MS in physics, math, or electrical/optical engineering field or equivalent experience. Experience with the simulation of complex systems. Matlab programming (or very similar language). Strong physics and math background. Desired: Ph.D. in physics, math, or electrical/optical engineering. Experience in the analysis of adaptive optics systems and/or optical propagation through random media. Rytov theory. Fourier optics.

Scientific Applications Programmer (Albuquerque, NM & Dayton, OH)

Description

Develop and maintain complex scientific modeling, simulation, and analysis software with an emphasis in optical propagation and control systems.

Qualifications

Minimum: BS or MS in math, science, or engineering field or equivalent experience. Matlab programming (or very similar language). Strong scientific and numerical programming. Desired: Solid background in computer programming, math, and physics and proficiency in scientific data analysis. Specific experience in optics, statistics, database programming, and/or graphical user interface programming. Experience with C, C++, C#, and Java

Entry-Level Applications Programmer (Albuquerque, NM & Dayton, OH)

Description

Develop and maintain applications programs with emphasis on application installation, graphical user interfaces, and applications configuration. Assist with system maintenance, configuration, and installation activities.

Qualifications

Minimum: Demonstrated proficiency in computer programming in C++, C#, and/or Java. Desired: BS in technical discipline with an emphasis in programming. Some experience and knowledge with web-based programming.

MS Windows Computer Systems Administrator

Description

As a member of a systems administration team, perform system configuration and administration of MS Windows-based computer network. Configure all manner of MS Windows operating systems including server versions. Support the implementation and administration of numerous user services including e-mail, communications, file server, and user applications.

Qualifications

Minimum: Experience with MS Windows systems administration. Desired: BS in technical discipline with an emphasis in programming. Experience configuring MS Outlook, MS Exchange, MS Domain Servers, MS Skype, and/or MS SharePoint. Experience in a DoD contracting environment that requires implementation of strict security controls in both classified and unclassified environments. Strong programming skills.
